We have posted on this before as this is a unit that I am teaching each quarter on our enrichment wheel in Middle School Art:
It looks hard but is simply very easy!
You can use Origami paper or wrapping paper for cool book cover designs.
Check out the Youtube links below.
Several students made their books into flip books.
One student made a larger one at home to illustrate his book report.
Everyone was successful.
Have you ever done a book making unit in your class? If not, what are you waiting for?
Thanks for dropping by – 1969

Art Club this past week created these funky birds. Everytime I looked at them all I could hear in my head was The Trashmen – Surfin Bird – Bird is the Word 1963. Once you take a listen to it you will understand why…tee hee

We used nasal aspirators for the base before for our paper mache.

We applied paster wrap for our paper mache.

Each bird has lots of character. Each one is created with a different vibe!

Happy Friday!

I just love these 3-D Cardboard Replica Sculptures.

My art teacher friend, Laura Harrison, had her 3-D Design students make these sculptures.  They are just awesome!
I am very proud of the work of these high school art students.
Nice job, Jolie, Landon, and Nathan!

Have a look.

Laura and I both like Jack White.  We like lots.
Here is a song from his new acoustic album released September, 2016.
